"Habibi, Come to Sri Lanka!"
Writing an article is no simple task; a writer's imagination is intricately linked to the content they create. It's this very link that motivates Vidu to explore various topics to write about.
One day, as Vidu was scrolling through his Facebook feed, he came across a captivating young woman. She spoke directly to the camera, saying, "Habibi, come to Sri Lanka!"
This phrase quickly went viral on TikTok, with many people using her voice clip to create enticing videos showcasing the picturesque tourist destinations in Sri Lanka. Now, Vidu is eager to share some of the breathtaking natural wonders of Sri Lanka's upcountry side with visitors.
Ella
In January 2023, Vidu embarked on a journey to Ella with his wife and his brother's family. It was their first time visiting this charming town, and they decided to take the train from Nawalapitiya. Their first stop was the Demodara Railway Station.
Demodara holds a unique place among Sri Lanka's train stations due to the intriguing tunnel beneath it. While visiting Ella, you'll also want to explore other remarkable attractions such as Rawana Falls, Nil Diya Pokuna, and Flying Rawana.
One of the most captivating destinations in Ella is the Nine Arch Bridge, which also boasts historical significance in Sri Lanka. Vidu believes that this description suffices for today, but he looks forward to penning another article about Ella, Sri Lanka, in the future.
Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya, also known as "Little England," is another remarkable destination in Sri Lanka. Situated in the cool and misty upcountry region, it offers a unique experience. To get there, you can take a train from Colombo Fort to Nanuoya and then catch a bus from Nanuoya to Nuwara Eliya. Alternatively, buses from Colombo Fort also provide transportation to Nuwara Eliya.
Once in Nuwara Eliya, you can explore attractions such as the Lover's Leap waterfall, Horton Plains, Ambewela, Hakgala Botanical Garden, the horse racing ground, and many other remarkable places.
That's all folks!
