Hello World!

 

hello world,

I  am Vidu from Sri Lanka. I have been writing blogs since 2010, but this is the first blogging site I have created to write articles in the English language. First, I'd like to introduce myself to you.

I am Vidu, currently 35 years old, and I run my own business for a living. Additionally, I work as a technician in the information technology sector. It's a tough but quite cool field to work in.

I am married, and we live in my hometown in Sri Lanka. My wife, Nimanthika, is a school teacher with considerable experience. We also have six cats and one dog, whom I adopted from the road. We have no children.

In our five years of marriage, we've faced many challenges, but we are now celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary, which was on August 23rd. Also, my birthday falls on August 7th.

Now, I'd like to talk about my hobbies. I enjoy music and can play a few instruments lightly, not as a professional, but I can play the guitar, keyboard, and piano. I cannot sing, but my wife can sing quite well, so we enjoy making music together when we have the time.

I'm also an avid reader. In my father's home library, he collected a lot of novels, storybooks, and magazines. I also read blogs from the internet. When I have nothing to read on my hand, physical books are a good choice. In my childhood, I used to read books while having breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It was a good habit for any child.

I also enjoy traveling and riding bicycles. I had a bicycle when I was in higher education, but I don't have one now. However, I do have a motorcycle, and my wife and I sometimes travel together on it, even though she doesn't share my excitement for traveling.

My last hobby is writing. As I mentioned earlier, I have been writing a blog since 2010. Yes, it's true. I started a blog named m7vidu.blogspot.com, and I still fill it with articles written in my mother language. Now, I want to mention that I am Sri Lankan, and my mother language is Sinhala. So, I write articles about Sri Lankan political culture, information technology, and new trends. I also write poems, which I love because poems are the most sensitive form of expression when someone can understand what they truly mean. Additionally, I write short stories and long stories.

In conclusion, I'd like to say that I'm not a graduate, but I have experience in various fields like marketing, construction, selling, information technology, and pest control in coconut cultivation.

This introduction represents my effort to write and practice crafting good and attractive articles. I'm keen on improving my skills in the English language, especially my writing and reading skills. So, I invite everyone who visits this blog space to read my articles and help me increase my knowledge and skill.
